When I think of the National Missionary Convention, I envision a mission fair where we expose ourselves to the multifarious soul-saving operations around the world with amazement and thanksgiving of God’s awesome power and far-reaching grace. I see a fellowship where we submerge ourselves in the pleasure of visiting old acquaintances and meeting new friends. I also see a great place where we can improve ourselves by learning from other servants of the Lord through their hands-on experiences in their special field of harvest.

The NMC is a place for revival. You will be inspired and challenged by the messages from God through our main session speakers, missionaries’ testimonials and our Bible teacher. Most importantly, the NMC pulls our strength together for the fulfillment of our Lord’s command to His followers — Make Disciples of All Nations.

This is what we want to emphasize in Atlanta. Today, God’s church has developed many specialized ministries to answer the needs of this diversified and complicated world. While these ministries play their important roles, we have to save guard ourselves against losing focus of the ultimate goal and missing our finishing line which is making disciples. This convention will help you see more clearly how you can position yourself and your church to minister in unity with others to work toward the goal of our Lord’s command.

Finally, the NMC is a great place for worship when Christians from all over the world come together before God’s throne to offer their tributes of praise. I hope you will join us to bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! I pray that God will put the desire in your heart to attend and take away all your obstacles so we can see you in Atlanta! Amen.
